Max C. Shuler
1949-2025

Max Charles Shuler, 75, died November 3, 2025, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.  He was born December 27, 1949, in Hutchinson, to Gilbert A. “JR” and Betty Rose (Heiken) Shuler.

Max graduated from Nickerson High School in 1969.  He retired as a welder from KMW, Sterling.  Max enjoyed watching western television shows.  He was a member of Mitchell Chapel United Methodist Church.

On July 14, 1972, he married his high school sweetheart, Irmtraud “Irmie” Marx, at Zion Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.

Max is survived by:  wife, Irmie Shuler of Hutchinson; sons, Jacob Shuler of Georgetown, TX and Aron Shuler, DVM of Hutchinson; granddaughters, Lilianna Shuler of Georgetown, TX and Kaitlyn Shuler of Hutchinson; sister, DiAnn Bussard of Hutchinson; and brothers, Mark Shuler of Havana, KS and Ernest Shuler of Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Jamie Shuler.

Private inurnment will take place in Mitchell Cemetery.
