Marty K. (Griem) WaldCheney, KS

Marty K. Wald, Cheney, Kansas, passed away peacefully in her home November 20, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Marty was born on December 8, 1958 in Long Beach, California to Lewis and Betty Jo Griem.  She graduated high school in Medicine Lodge, Kansas and attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma. Preceding her in death are her parents, and father of her children, Randy Wald.  Survivors include her son, Matthew Wald; daughter, Rebekkah (Sawyer) Wald; sisters, Tracy (John) Milledge, and Kelly (Chris) Walters; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.  Marty worked at the Citizens State Bank in Cheney for many years where she developed many special relationships.  She absolutely loved spending time with her children and her entire family. Laughter was always part of family get-togethers.  Her children were her life.  Marty loved listening to music and spent many hours sharing music with her family. She loved to read and enjoyed the local libraries in Cheney and Wichita.  She also enjoyed attending the Broadway in Wichita plays and musicals with her friends and family, going on walks and soaking in the sunshine, as well as going to Sedgwick County Zoo on a regular basis. Marty's true love was her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  She spent hours sharing God's word with those she loved.

Graveside service: 1:00pm, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt, Kansas.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Greenlawn Cemetery, PO Box 807, Pratt, Kansas 67124
