Janet Arleta Eilts, 59, passed away December 5, 2025 at Via Christie St. Francis, Wichita.
She was born December 21, 1965 in Fairbury, Nebraska; the daughter of Ervin and Joann Flatham Fangmeyer. Â A Larned resident since May 2021, moving from McPherson, she was a homemaker. For twenty-three years she stayed home with her boys before going back to work at the Larned State Hospital.
She was a member of and the principal organist at the Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson and the Larned Music Club. Â She was a huge Nebraska Cornhuskers fan, enjoyed music and playing piano. Â Her greatest joy was her family and keeping up with her husband and children. Â Janet was a wonderful cook and a friend to everyone.
On April 21, 1990 she married Bradley Eilts at Deshler, Nebraska. Â He survives.
Other survivors include; three sons, Ryan (Mary) Eilts, Goshen, Indiana, Matthew (Sarah) Eilts, Kansas City, Kansas and Brett Eilts, North Kansas City, Missouri; four siblings, Audrey Hoops, Deshler, Nebraska, Nancy (Dan) Foster, Colby, David Fangmeyer, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Randy (Tasha) Fangmeyer, Fremont, Nebraska; one grandson, Walter Eilts and a granddaughter on the way; brother-in-law, Barton (Laura) Eilts, Glenview, Illinois; countless nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson, Kansas with Pastor Peter Rehwaldt and Pastor Dan Ramsey presiding. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Cremation will take place following the service.
