Guy Howard Harbert, 65, passed away December 2, 2025 at his home in Larned.
He was born April 13, 1960 in Larned, the son of Howard J. and Frances E. Fulcher Harbert.  A lifetime area resident, he was an Activity Therapist, owner of Guy’s Liquor and a former Cattleman.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Larned and Sons of American Legion. Â Guy was a former football player at Hutchinson Community College and Kansas State University, avid Chiefs and K-State fan, loved animals, especially his cat, MJ. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching jeopardy and established a patient library at Larned State Hospital.
On June 20, 1992, he married Debra Gayle Smith at Larned. Â She passed away March 14, 2014.
Survivors include: son, Cody Harbert, Larned; daughter, Deserae Caldwell, Kansas City; brother, Terry (Paula) Harbert, Topeka; two sisters, Cathie (Rob) Kornacki, Platte City, MO, Janie (Allan) Seiler, Andale; four grandchildren, Madison Harbert, AJ Wise, Dakotah Wise, Brooklyn Wise and his beloved cat, MJ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Earl Harbert and a son-in-law, Anthony James Wise.
Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
