Dolores Jacqueline Morton passed away December 5th, 2025, in Larned, Kansas.
She was born December 16th, 1928, in Zurich, Kansas. The daughter of Rudolph and Violet Kaba Novotny.
On September 2, 1946, she married Donald Morton in Hoisington, Kansas. He passed away March 13th, 1999.
Don and Dolores owned 4 businesses in a 45-year period. They were kept quite busy most of their lives.
Dolores loved people, so she got acquainted and enjoyed everyone. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and helped with the Evangel. She also worked at the thrift shop for many years.
Survivors include: two daughters, Cheryl Dietrich, Kelly (Karl) Moffet; a son, Stan (Kim) Morton, all of Larned, Kansas; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Doug) Aldrich, Michelle (Toby Hogan) Gordon, both of Larned, Kansas, Hannah (Travis) Savery, Abilene, Kansas; Augie (Nicole) Morton, Lincoln, Nebraska; ten great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Jean and Bill Novotny and two sisters, Roberta Hairfield and Sharon Lovesee.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, Kansas with Chaplain Jeff Owen presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary. Burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery, Palco, Kansas following the service.
