Daniel Wiens
1986-2025

Daniel Brent Wiens, 39, of Inman, passed away on November 17, 2025, at his home with his wife and children by his side. Born on April 13, 1986, in Moundridge, Daniel lived a life defined by love, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to his family and faith.

Daniel married the love of his life, Ashley, on October 11, 2014, at Sedalia Community Church in Manhattan. Together they built a beautiful family. Daniel joyfully adopted Cooper on October 22, 2015; soon after, they welcomed Dietrich on January 29, 2016; and their daughter Stella completed their family on December 15, 2017.

Daniel had a smile and laugh that could light up any room. He had a gift for making others feel seen, welcomed, and uplifted. Being a father was his greatest pride, and he was always present—never missing a game, event, or moment that mattered to his children. He cherished attending sporting events, concerts, and taking trips with Ashley, the kids, and their extended family and friends. Making memories and being present were among his deepest values.

Professionally, Daniel served as the Golf Course Superintendent at Lyons Public Golf Course, a role he poured his heart into. He took immense pride in shaping the course into something special. Weekends—especially in the summer—often became family time at the course, checking greens, watering, and ensuring everything met his high standards. His bond with Cooper grew even stronger through the summers they spent working together, something Daniel treasured.

Daniel was a man of God whose faith guided his life and shaped the way he loved. He was dedicated to raising his children with strength, kindness, and the desire to always become the best version of themselves.

Daniel is survived by: his wife, Ashley Wiens; his children, Cooper (17), Dietrich (9), and Stella (7); his parents, Lois and Gail Wiens; his brother, Joel Wiens, wife Rachel, and their daughters, Kate and Abby; his in-laws, Gordon and Linda Polston; his brother-in-law, Jordon Polston, wife Mellissa, and their daughter Briar.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Kathryn Wiens and Ben and Stella Thiessen.
