Hillsboro, Kansas – The McPherson Bulldogs Women’s Soccer team earned their fifth win of the season with a 1-0 win over Tabor in Hillsboro on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened
Tabor controlled the opening minutes of the match, firing off four shots in the first 20 minutes. Goalkeeper Emily Singletary saved all three shots that were on goal, while the final attempt went wide. McPherson’s first shot of the game resulted in a goal, with Jordyn Smith sending the ball up the field to Kennedy Halter who scored her first goal of the season. The Bluejays continued to look for an equalizer, but the Bulldogs’ defense held strong for the remainder of the match to secure the 1-0 victory.
Singletary recorded six saves in the match to earn her fourth shutout of the season. Despite Tabor having 10 shots compared to McPherson’s six, the Bulldogs still earned the victory.
