OTTAWA, Kan. — Hesston College women’s flag football saw their season come to an end in the opening round of the KCAC tournament as they fell to #1 seed Ottawa University, 54-0.

Ottawa set the tone early and never let up, scoring 14 points in each of the first two quarters to take a 28-0 lead into halftime. The Braves added another touchdown in the third quarter before pulling away with a 19-point fourth quarter to seal the shutout victory.

The Larks battled throughout but struggled to find offensive rhythm against an aggressive Ottawa defense. Quarterback Alexis Pabon led Hesston’s efforts, recording 256 passing yards, while also finishing as the team’s leading rusher. Liliana Espinoza contributed in the passing game with 47 receiving yards.

Ottawa’s high-powered offense proved difficult to contain, consistently moving the ball through the air and capitalizing on scoring opportunities. The Braves’ efficiency on offense and defensive pressure limited Hesston’s chances to generate momentum.
