McPherson, Kansas – On Saturday afternoon, McPherson College hosted the Tigers of Doane University on the blazing hot turf at Paul Family Field. In their last meeting back in 2025, the Bulldogs managed a 4-2 victory over Doane.

How it Happened
These two teams were unable to find the go-ahead goal after 90 minutes played at Brubaker Family Stadium after taking 24 combined shots. The Bulldogs managed nine shots on-goal while the visitors were able to fire off seven.
McPherson College goalkeeper Alvaro Marchal had an excellent showing in the contest, putting up his first clean sheet of the season after saving all seven shots on-frame by the Tigers. His more crucial saves came in the second half when Doane had found a bit of rhythm offensively and managed to fire off close-range shots.
Doane’s goalkeeper came up with nine saves on all of McPherson’s threatening shots, putting up his own clean sheet on the other end of the field.
After the final whistle, the Bulldogs and Tigers would have to settle for a 0-0 draw.
