BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – After an extended break, Bluejay Volleyball was back at it again on Saturday afternoon as they made the trek down to Bartlesville, Okla. to face Mission (Mo.) in a neutral-site contest. The Bluejays entered the match after last playing on September 9th where they took down local rival Hesston in a 3-0 sweep.
Mission got things started, winning the first set 25-20, before the Bluejays turned things around and won the final three sets, 25-20, 25-21, and 25-14 respectively.
Esther Nederveen led the way offensively with 17 kills, while Camila Mendes Toledo recorded 13 kills and Kingzley Ratzlaff recorded 10. Olivia Lazenby, Jaci Maxfield, and Josephine Fuamatu each recorded two service aces. Defensively, Lazenby led the team with 17 digs. Annerieke Nederveen recorded 40 assists in the win.
Saturday’s win marks six straight wins for Tabor, after the team recorded a forfeit win over Champion Christian a week ago.
The Bluejays return to action on Wednesday as they open up conference play against rival Bethel. The match is set for a 7:00pm start.
