HILLSBORO, Kan. – Tabor College Baseball opened up their Senior Weekend series against Sterling on Friday afternoon. Due to the threat of severe storms in the area, the game was moved up to a 12:00pm start. The Bluejays entered the series fresh off a solid run-rule win at McPherson on Wednesday to clinch the season series between the two teams, 14-3.

GAME NOTES
- With the win, the Bluejays improve to 22-23 on the season and 18-15 in conference play
- Friday’s game marks the 193rd all-time meeting between the two programs, dating back to 1961
- Sterling owns a 108-85 record in the all-time series
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Cole Schieffer and Judah Powell both went yard in the bottom of the 5th inning, with Schieffer hitting a two-run bomb and also scoring Trace Kopper, while Powell mashed a three-run homer to send Kaison Overbey and Eric Calder home
- Powell and Overbey led the team offensively, each recording three RBIs, while Calder and Schieffer each recorded two, and Jack Mack recorded one RBI of his own
- Logan McGuire struck out a team-high four batters during his start on the mound, while Braden Manning recorded two strikeouts, and Brayden Berens closed out the final inning

- The Bluejays continue their Senior Weekend series with Sterling on Saturday. The Senior Day festivities are set to begin at 11:00am and first pitch is scheduled for 12:00pm.
