McPherson County is stepping up its efforts to protect its computer systems from growing cybersecurity threats.

County commissioners have approved an annual software subscription at a cost of $8,532. The program is designed to detect and block browser-based attacks, which can expose computer systems to hackers and malicious websites.

The added protection is aimed at reducing the risk of security breaches and helping safeguard county operations and sensitive public information.
