The Great Bend Bat Cats dropped an 11-1 decision to the Newton Rebels Thursday night at Newton’s Centennial Park.
Great Bend (21-7) defeated the Rebels 18-6 Wednesday at Al Burns Memorial Field in Great Bend.
The Bat Cats play the Junction City Brigade Friday night at Rathert Stadium in Junction City.
Ten members of the Bat Cats will participate in the Jayhawk Collegiate League All-Star Game Saturday at Hutchinson’s Hobart-Detter Field: TJ Shaw Jr., Quentin Medrano, Cesar Chavira, Andrugh Yee, Lane French, Kirtby Orth, Zach Alarid, Jaxon Bunkers, Carter Graham and Mason Murphy.
The Bat Cats will host the Junction City Brigade at 3 p.m. Sunday at Al Burns Memorial Field in Great Bend.
Great Bend plays the Hutchinson Monarchs Tuesday at Hobart-Detter Field and hosts the Monarchs on Wednesday.
The Bat Cats host the Haysville Aviators on July 17 and play at Haysville on July 18.
The National Baseball Congress World Series is set for July 23-Aug. 1 at Wichita State University’s Eck Stadium.
