The Iola Area Chamber of Commerce is bringing back its popular I Spy Iola challenge for September’s First Friday, giving local residents a chance to search for a hidden blue envelope containing $50 in Chamber Bucks.
The September challenge will take place Friday, Sept. 4, with the blue envelope hidden somewhere around the Iola area. The first person to find the envelope will win the $50 in Chamber Bucks, which can be used to shop locally and support area businesses.
There is a catch for those hoping to solve the mystery: the clues will not be released until the morning of Friday, Sept. 4. Participants will need to follow the Iola Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page and keep notifications turned on so they don’t miss the clues as they are posted throughout the day.
The Chamber encourages residents to keep an eye out, follow the clues and be ready to start the search once the challenge begins. The event is part of the Chamber’s ongoing effort to encourage local shopping and community participation.
