Thrive Allen County Announces 19th Annual Award Celebration Nominees

Thrive Allen County has announced the nominees for its 19th Annual Award Celebration, recognizing individuals, organizations and businesses making a positive impact throughout the county. The annual awards highlight community members whose leadership, service and commitment contribute to making Allen County a stronger and healthier place to live, work and play.

Nominees were selected in five categories. Education nominees are Iola Public Library, Jenna Higginbotham and Josiah D’Albini; Recreation nominees are Humboldt Recreation Commission, Iola Seahorses and CITF; and Health & Wellness nominees are Stacey Crusinbery, Elsmore Ruritan Food Pantry and Allen County Regional Hospital Auxiliary.

In Economic Development, nominees are Myra and Gabe Gleason, Jennifer Chester and Chancy’s Grill and Shake. The Changemaker of the Year nominees are Bella Rahming, Shelby Sprague and Alex Torres.

The 19th Annual Award Celebration is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 20, at 5:30 p.m. in the Allen Community College gymnasium. Thrive Allen County said the event provides an opportunity for the community to celebrate the nominees and recognize their contributions to Allen County.
