IdeaTek Telcom has entered into an agreement to acquire Wave Wireless, a southeast Kansas broadband company, in a deal expected to close this fall if regulators approve.
Wave Wireless will keep operating during the transition. IdeaTek plans to offer 8-gig internet and may extend fiber to some areas.
IdeaTek is currently building fiber in Parsons and recently completed expansions in Eureka and Baxter Springs.
