The Coffey County Library will host a Literacy Celebration Sunday, August 30, from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Burlington Branch Library, with games, activities, snacks, free face painting and cotton candy planned for all ages.
The event will also include a shared reading featuring Froggy and the Whale, along with games such as giant Tetris, duck pond, giant Legos and a cake/cookie walk.
Families can also sign up for the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program, while youth ages K-12 can learn about the library’s new Read for 20 program.
