Darbie Wells carded an 8-over-par 44 on Thursday, leading to a fourth-place finish for the Hutchinson High junior at the Derby Invitational.
Wells was one of four players to break 45 at the tournament.
Hutchinson finished in fifth place with a 205 team score. Newton won the event with a 186.
Two other Salthawks had top-20 finishes. Audryee Soule tied for 13th with a 51, and Ellen Corey tied for 18th with a 54.
