The Hutchinson High boys soccer team played just one half Tuesday, but the game was official as Maize South won 1-0.
Per NFHS rules, games are official if one full half is played, and the second half cannot start or be completed due to weather.
Maize South, however, is one of the best teams in Class 5A, and the Mavericks improved to 12-1. Hutchinson fell to 8-5 and will host McPherson on Thursday.
