The Salina Animal Shelter is working to find homes for 17 pit bulls currently housed in Salina.
If you are not a current resident of Saline County, but want a pit bull from Saline County – the Salina Animal Shelter is now adopting out pit bulls to potential owners who don’t live in Saline County. The current pit bull ban has led to a number of dogs being held at the shelter.
To adopt, one will need:
To live outside of Saline County.
A current photo ID.
A utility bill proving you live outside of Saline County that matches your ID.
Proof of home ownership. Renters must verify that they can have a dog, either through a lease agreement or other verification from the landlord.
