Wheat producers are going back to class next week – the Pre-Plant Wheat School will be held Monday night, August 24th at the First United Methodist Church on East Kansas Avenue.
According to McPherson County Extension Agent Shad Marston, the evening begins with a meal at 6:30pm followed by discussions on weed management and disease concerns.
Marston says selecting the right wheat variety will also be a focus on Monday. “We will also have a representative from Ag360 demonstrating decision making tools to help produces select the best wheat varieties for their operation and growing conditions,” he said.
