October marks all things fire safety. And with that comes Fire Prevention Week.
It’s a busy month for us as our Volunteer Firemen make their way around Lyons schools teaching students and staff fire safety, along with showing everyone what a fireman looks like all decked out in bunker gear. Our hope is to ease fear and teach ways to stay safe.
With that comes the Lyons Fire Department Open House. Please join us on Monday, October 5th, from 7-8 pm to see our trucks and equipment, meet your local firemen, check out Rice County’s new Smoke House, and enjoy refreshments.
