Kansas Author Talk: David Chelan, “Stories from The Phog”

Marlin. “Stories From the Phog,” published by the University Press of Kansas, takes readers on a decades-long journey of
Kansas basketball through the eyes of a hoops junkie. Memories from KU fans are interspersed alongside those of players
and all four living coaches, as well as descendants of James Naismith and Phog Allen. The book captures the magic of
Allen Fieldhouse and the rich tradition of the Jayhawks. But it is more than just basketball: it weaves pop culture, history,
and family with pick and rolls and help side defense.
