December 6 at 1 p.m., students from Barton’s Community Music School will perform in the Dorothy Morrison Chapel. The recital will feature piano, violin, and trombone performances by young musicians taught by Barton student instructors, all of whom are music education majors.

The Community Music School provides affordable music education for children while supporting Barton students through scholarships funded by lesson tuition, which starts at just $15 for a 30-minute session. According to Director of Accompaniment Dr. Alejandro Avila, enrollment for the spring semester is now open for students aged 6 and older (piano) or 11 and older (instruments including saxophone, clarinet, trombone, trumpet, French horn, and strings).
