Haven continued its perfect start to the season Friday with a 28-12 Homecoming win over Hillsboro.
Haven used the powerful rushing combination of quarterback Brogan Wray and running back Cole Brawner to jump out to a 14-0 halftime lead.
Hillsboro penalties and turnovers would keep the Trojans off the scoreboard in the first half.
Wray would add a 40-yard touchdown scamper in the second half, and Tracer Wells would put the final nail in the coffin with a 15-yard dash to open the fourth quarter, putting the game away.
Hillsboro’s points came from a 1-yard touchdown pass from Zane Haslett to Taylor Reiger and a 6-yard TD run from Broden Loewen.
Haven begins district play next week against 3-0 Douglass. Hillsboro falls to 1-2 to start the season and opens district play against Remington.
