Ashland, Neb. – This Saturday, the Men’s and Women’s Swedes XC teams made the trip up to Ashland, Neb. to compete in the 2025 Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic. Overall, the team had a great showing on the course. Levi Pauley led the men’s team with a huge PR of 26:34 in the 8k. On the women’s side, Logan Pevehouse led the charge for the women’s team with a 25:39 in the 6k. There were also numerous 5k PR’s within the races for both the men’s and women’s teams.
Head Coach Daylon Smith had this to say about his team’s performance: “This past weekend we saw great runs by the men and women’s XC teams once again, with the men’s squad producing tons of PR’s in the 8k as well as the entire women’s squad hitting PR’s in the 6k. We battled the hilly course very well and it gives us a lot of insight as to what is to come for the KCAC Championship race. We are in a great spot to hit some PR’s again and aim for the 4th spot in the conference on the men’s side also. Go Swedes!”
