The Pretty Prairie High School girls golf team placed second and Nickerson fourth at the Kingman High School Varsity Invitational Thursday at the par-72, 5,256-yard Eagles Pub and Golf Course in Kingman.
Kingman won the team title with a 444 score, followed by Pretty Prairie 454, Pratt 464, Nickerson 470 and Medicine Lodge 527. Cheney and Wichita Trinity Academy did not field enough players to post team scores.
The top 10 players earned medals.
Pretty Prairie’s Hallie Deel and Kingman’s Teagan Dick both shot 99s to lead the individual scoring. Deel defeated Dick in a playoff for first-place medalist honors.
Cheney’s Kenna Markel and Katy Wehrman placed third and fourth at 101 and 102. Pretty Prairie’s Sommerleigh Mizell and Wichita Trinity Academy’s Addison Fielding tied for fifth place, 106.
Nickerson’s Brooklyn Steffen and WTA’s Emma Rolph tied for seventh, 107; Nickerson’s Aubree Nikkel placed ninth, 108; and Kingman’s Haely Hilger placed 10th, 110.
Pretty Prairie’s Jewelynn Reese just missed the medals with an 11th-place effort of 111. Pretty Prairie’s Ellie Hoyt placed 27th, 138.
Nickerson’s Jillian Hartman tied for 20th, 124; Tylle Gilbert was 25th, 131; and Hadley Sander was 26th, 133.
Cheney won the Kingman 9-hole Junior Varsity Girls Invitational team title with a 247 score. Kingman placed second with 255, followed by Andale 269 and Pratt 269.
