McPherson Girls Soccer Defeats Circle, Falls to Miege in OT

McPHERSON, Kan. – McPherson High School Girls Soccer split a pair of matches within two days, defeating Circle on Thursday, April 23, before falling in overtime to Bishop Miege on Friday, April 24.

The Bullpups defeated Circle 4-1 on Thursday at home. Grace Prescott scored the first goal before assisting on the second, scored by Allison Randa. A Circle own-goal gave McPherson their third goal of the match before Addison Shaft closed it off in the second half.

McPherson then took on Bishop Miege in a tight-knit matchup on Friday, falling 2-1 in extra time. McPherson’s lone goal came in the second half, scored by Brodie Kuhn, however that was just one of three shots on goal in the match for the Pups.

McPherson moves to 7-4-0 on the season. They will travel to face Winfield on Tuesday, April 28.
