McPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson girls golf team hosted their annual invitational at Turkey Creek Golf Course on Thursday. Against some tough competition, the Bullpups finished in fourth place overall.
An always talented Kapaun-Mt. Carmel team took first place with a 296 for the day as a team, ahead of second place Buhler at 320. Wellington was third with 335 and McPherson finished in fourth with 356.
Individually, the Bullpups were led by a 15th place finish for Lleyton Kuhn, shooting an 84 on the day. Pera Bauer finished in a tie for 16th at 87. Ari Prose also finished in the top half of the field in a tie for 34th.
“We had plenty of first with three girls playing in a tournament and 18 holes for the first time,” said head coach Treg Fawl. “We also had PRs from Amelia, Ari, Abby, Monroe and Alexa. We have made big improvements from two weeks ago.”

Next up for McPherson girls golf is a very busy week. They have meets on Monday at Circle, Thursday at Salina Central and Friday at Buhler in the coming week.
