Hutchinson CC Sports Information
HOBBS, New Mexico – Sophomore Deisheline Mayer Scott had a pair of fifth-place performances to lead the Hutchinson Community College women’s track and field team on Day 1 of the 2026 NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the Ross Black Track and Field Complex.
Mayer Scott had eight of the Blue Dragons’ nine points on Day 1.

Mayer Scott placed fifth in the Hammer Throw with a PR mark of 165 feet, 8 inches (50.49 meters). She moves up to No. 2 all-time on the Blue Dragon outdoor track and field list.
Mayer Scott also finished fifth in the Javelin with a throw of 146-2 (44.54 meters).
Freshman Xylavene Beale was the other point scorer on Day 1. Beale placed eighth in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 162-9 (49.60 meters).
Other Blue Dragon performances on Day 1:
+ Grace Bender placed 11th in the pole vault with a clearance of 10-4 (3.16 meters).
+ The 4×100-meter relay team of Britney-Ann Powell, Anecia Campbell, Valentine Titren and Sidney Holt was 13th in the preliminaries with a time of 46.35 seconds.
+ Campbell was 14th in the 400-meter preliminaries with a time of 56.12 meters.
