Larned senior Jadyn Crosby Commits to Washburn University Women’s Basketball Program

Larned High School’s Jadyn Crosby, a 6-foot senior forward, has announced her commitment to play basketball at Washburn University for the 2027-28 season.

“Jadyn is an outstanding three-sport athlete that looks to be a leader on an off the court this year,” said the Larned High School  We are very proud of you Jadyn and can’t wait to see you leave your final mark as an Indian.

“I am beyond grateful to announce my commitment to continue my academic and basketball career to Ichabod women’s basketball,” Crosby said on her X / Twitter page.

“Thank you to my family, coaches, teammates and everyone who has supported me along the way. Most importantly, thank you to God for His guidance and blessings.”

Crosby averaged 16.4 points and 7 rebounds a game as a junior and 13.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game as a sophomore. She earned All-Central Kansas League and all-state honors after he junior year.

She poured in a career-high 28 points against Nickerson and opened the season with 20 points against Pratt.

Crosby was named to the KSHSAA Covered Girls All-Class Team as a junior and selected to the Wichita Eagle all-state team.

Larned posted a 17-7 record overall in 2025-26 and placed third in the Central Kansas League with a 7-2 mark. Larned was 11-10 (7-4 4th CKL) in 2024-25 and 9-13 in 2023-24.

Crosby, who also played volleyball and softball at Larned High School, won the Keady Classic Girls 3-Point Contest her junior year.
