Inman’s Tyler Martisko, Girls 4×100 Relay Team Shine at Class 2A State Track Meet

The Inman girls placed second at the Kansas Class 2A state track meet with 44 points — 7 points behind first-place Hoxie, The Teuton boys placed fourth with 42 points.

The Kansas State Track and Field Championships took place Friday and Saturday at Crossland Stadium on the Wichita State University campus.

Inman High School’s Tyler Martisko won a first-place gold medal in the Kansas Class 2A boys 1600-meter run with a time of 4 minutes, 25.48 seconds.

The Inman girls 4×100-meter relay team of Brooklyn Black, Addison Wedel, Lily Heflin and Olivia Brunk are first-place gold medal champions in Class 2A with a time of 49.79 seconds.

The Inman girls 4×400 relay of Addysyn Fisher, Lily Heflin, Brooklynn Black and Olivia Brunk placed second with a time of 4:05.59.

Heflin placed third in the 1A girls 800 (2:20.19). Black placed fifth in the 2A girls 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.8 seconds and fourth in the 300 hurdles (46.38). Brunk placed seventh in the 1A girls 100-meter dash (12.83) after placing sixth in the prelims (12.71) and placed ninth in the 200-meter dash (26.0).

Inman’s Taylor Froese finished fourth in the 2A girls shot put (37-5.75) and Morgan Froese was 12th (34-11.25). Taylor Froese was fifth in the discus (120-6) and Morgan Froese was 12th (109-11).

The Inman boys 4×800 relay team placed second (8:11.92). Inman’s Bo O’Neill placed second in Class 2A boys discus (163-4).

Samuel Brensing placed fifth in the 2A boys 110-meter hurdles (15.24) after placing eighth in the prelims (15.6).

Cooper Wiens was 10th in the 2A boys 800 (2:04.93). Kru Harri placed 15th in the triple jump (41-1.75). Korbyn McLellan placed 17th in the 2A boys long jump (19-1.75) and set a personal record. Riley Roots was 18th in the 2A boys 1600 (5:01.41).
