Inman Softball Team Headed Back to Kansas Class 2-1A State Tournament

The Inman High School softball teams continues is one of the top programs in Kansas Class 2-1A heading into the state tournament.

The Teutons captured a Class 2-1A regional championship and improved to 24-2.

The Inman softball team posted a 2A state runner-up finish in 2025 and a fourth-place finish in 2024.

The Teutons outscored opponents 37-4 in three games, including an 11-0 victory over South Central/Ashland Co-op on Wednesday.

Inman broke the game open with a seven-run fourth inning as Sharley Leonhardt, Marlee Ballard, Ellie Thimmesch, Taylor Froese and Adi Alcala all delivered RBI hits during the rally.

Inman features one of the top pitching duos in the state.

Junior Lyla Levin tossed a five-inning no-hitter against South Central/Ashland with six strikeouts. Levin is 14-2 with an 0.78 earned run average and 162 strikeouts. She has more than 400 career strikeouts.

Alexis Noone is 9-0 with a 1.09 ERA.

Offensively, the Teutons feature one of the deepest lineups in 2-1A:

• Taylor Froese is batting .526 with 41 hits, 36 RBI and 12 doubles.

• Maddi Parsons is hitting .462 with 42 hits, 10 triples and 55 runs scored.

• Adi Alcala is batting .485 with 33 hits.

• Ellie Thimmesch have driven in 41 runs with four home runs.

• Levin has a .414 average with 34 RBI.
