Inman Softball Players Named to Sports in Kansas Class 2-1A All-State Team

Inman High School, which tied for third place at the Kansas Class 2-1A state softball tournament, placed three players on the Sports in Kansas Class 2-1A All-State First Team and two on the Second Team.

Named to the First Team were junior pitcher Lyla Levin, junior infielder Taylor Froese and junior outfielder Ellie Thimmesch.

Inman sophomore catcher Maddi Parsons and senior infielder Ali Alcala were named to the Second Team.

Moundridge senior Lela Winsor was named to the Second Team.

Hays-Thomas More Prep-Marian placed junior Brynn Rebel and sophomore outfielder Brynn Schoepf on the First Team.

TMP placed sophomore catcher Paige Koenigsman, junior outfielder Molly Helget and senior utility/designated player Bria Windholz on the Second Team.

Area players receiving honorable mention recognition were Addison Watson, TMP; Aspyn Stos, Moundridge; Macy Kaminkow, Moundridge; Mac Soden, Moundridge; Blaine Locke, Sterling; Chelsi Brown, Sterling; Abby Beavers, Hillsboro; Bret Hecker, Ell-Saline; Shuria Quintana, Ellinwood; Bennett Jacobs, Ellinwood; and Anna Hahn, Ellinwood.

Bella Ascanio of Pittsburg St. Mary’s Colgan (the Class 2-1A state champions) was named Pitcher and Player of the Year. Colgan’s Cassie Rhuems was named Coach of the Year.
