Hesston Boys Tennis Squad Captures CKL Tournament

The Hesston Swather boys tennis team captured the 2026 Central Kansas League Tournament Monday on the Smoky Valley courts in Lindsborg.

Hesston placed first with 65 points and captured No. 1 doubles and No. 2 doubles. Hoisington claimed No. 1 singles and No. 2 singles and placed second with 58 points.

Smoky Valley placed second in No. 1 doubles and No. 2 doubles and placed third with 52 points.

Haven placed fourth in the team standings with 41 points, followed by Larned 21, Hillsboro 19 and Pratt 11.

Hoisington’s Jasper Pawlowski won No. 1 singles and Gabe Pawlowski placed first No. 2 singles.

Hoisington’s No. 1 doubles team of Leyton Mooney and Xander Mooney placed third. The No. 2 doubles team of Parker Turner and Knoxly Nettleingham placed fourth.

In No. 1 singles, Haven’s Devin Boice placed third and Nickerson’s Cooper Patterson placed seventh.

In No. 2 singles, Haven’s Josh Mulligan placed fourth and Nickerson’s Brady Engelland placed sixth.

In No. 1 doubles, Haven’s Ben Nisly and Logan Jacques placed fourth and Nickerson’s Isaiah Hathaway and Kadin Melton placed seventh.

In No. 2 doubles, Haven’s Cole Proffitt and Jayden Idacavage placed fifth and Nickerson’s Dagan Schneider and Thaddeus Preville placed eighth.

Regional play for area boys tennis teams will take place on Friday and Saturday.
