The Haven and Nickerson volleyball teams will participate in the Cheney High School Red, Spike and Blue Classic volleyball tournament Saturday.
Haven (10-9) is the No. 6 seed. Nickerson (5-14) is the No. 8 seed.
The No. 1 seed is Wichita Trinity Academy (10-2), followed by No. 2 Hesston (12-5), No. 3 Wellington (12-5), No. 4 Cheney (13-6) and No. 5 Wichita Collegiate (8-6). Pratt (9-9) is the No. 7 seed.
Pool A consists of Trinity Academy, Cheney, Wichita Collegiate and Nickerson. Pool B consists of Hesston, Wellington, Haven and Pratt.
Cheney Middle School 9 a.m. start: Trinity Academy vs. Nickerson, Wichita Collegiate vs. Trinity Academy, Pratt vs. Wellington, Wellington vs. Hesston.
Cheney High School East 9 a.m. start: Hesston vs. Pratt, Wellington vs. Haven, Haven vs. Hesston, Pratt vs. Haven.
Cheney High School West 9 a.m. start: Cheney vs. Wichita Collegiate, Nickerson vs. Cheney, Cheney vs. Trinity Academy, Nickerson vs. Wichita Collegiate.
Teams will advance from pool play based on:
1. Wins and losses.
2. Head-to-head competition.
3. Set winning percentage.
4. Defensive points allowed.
Since it is a tournament, no passes will be accepted. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students.
