In Class 3A West Regional 3 Region 2, the Haven (25-2) and Halstead (17-8) girls softball teams will meet in a Central Kansas League semifinal Thursday.
The Haven-Halstead matchup will start 25 minutes after the conclusion of the 3 p.m. semifinal matchup of Osage City (23-4) vs. Kingman/Norwich (14-11).
The semifinal winners will play for the championship and a state tournament berth.
In first-round games Tuesday, Haven defeated Fredonia 19-0, Halstead defeated Smoky Valley 8-2, Osage City defeated Chaparral 12-2 and No. 11 seed Kingman/Norwich upset No. 6-seed Cheney 13-2.
Cheney finished the season with a 17-6 record.
