Great Bend High School runners put together solid efforts at the Olathe Twilight Meet Saturday, hosted by Olathe North.
Great Bend’s Decorah Schroeter set the GBHS girls record with a fifth-place showing in the Varsity Red Division Girls 5K with a time of 18 minutes, 18 seconds.
Great Bend’s Samantha Negaard placed 110th in the Varsity Red Girls 5K with a time of 22:11.9.
Salina Central’s Kaylie Schultz placed second in the Varsity Red Girls 5K with a time of 17:45.6.
The Great Bend boys placed fifth in the Varsity Blue team standings with 201 points.
Great Bend’s Brogan Lashley placed 11th in the Varsity Blue Division boys 5K with a time of 16:54.3.
Panther Noah Kaiser placed 34th, 17:46.9; Julian Hernandez, 44th, 17:55.7; Dalton Gregg, 53rd, 18:01.2; Alexis Garcia, 64th, 18:19.9; and Deacon Singleton, 83rd, 18:55.5.
Goessel High School’s Eli Gaeddert placed 27th in the Varsity Red boys 5K with a time of 16:17.5.
GBHS’ Alyssa Prendergast placed 32nd in the JV Blue Girls 5K with a time of 22:47.9, followed by Rhayna Jording, 54th, 23:24; Sydney James, 72nd, 23:59.8; and Mia Bauer, 94th, 2:47.9.
