Hutchinson CC Sports Information
Four members of the Hutchinson Community College women’s basketball team have signed letters of intent to continue their careers at four-year programs, doing so at a signing ceremony in the Club 1928 Room in the Sports Arena on Wednesday.
Three Blue Dragon sophomores to sign were Noelle Anthon (Marquette University), Katie Duncan (University of New Mexico) and Jaden Wilson (Rockhurst University). First-year player KaMyra Barber signed with the University of North Texas.
The four Blue Dragon players are the 78th, 79th, 80th and 81st four-year signees in head coach John Ontjes’ 19 seasons with the program.
The 2025-26 Blue Dragons finished 29-7 overall and tied for second in the Jayhawk Conference with a 20-4 record. The Dragons were an at-large selection into the 2026 NJCAA Tournament and advanced all the way to the national quarterfinals.
NOELLE ANTHON – MARQUETTE
A 6-foot-2 forward from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Anthon is the first Blue Dragon to sign with Marquette, a school in the Big East Conference.
After missing half of her freshman season with an injury, Anthony started in 35 of 36 games this past season and averaged 10.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. She shot 55.5 percent from the field.
Anthon scored 425 points and shot 54.7 percent in her 51 games played as a Blue Dragon. She averaged 5.2 rebounds per game.
This past season, Anthon scored a career high of 24 points against Coffeyville on February 21 and grabbed a career-best 14 rebounds against Triton on November 1, 2025. She posted four career double-doubles, all coming in her sophomore season.
One of her best games as a Blue Dragon was a 22-point, 12-rebound performance against No. 9 Dodge City in the Region 6 Tournament Quarterfinals.
Anthon was named to the 2026 All-Jayhawk Conference second team.
KATIE DUNCAN – NEW MEXICO
Duncan is a 5-8 guard from Perth, Australia. She is the first Blue Dragon women’s player to sign at New Mexico.
Duncan earned all-Jayhawk Conference second-team honors after averaging 13.0 points per game with 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists. Duncan shot 39.0 percent overall and 33.3 percent from 3-point range with 76 made 3-point goals in her sophomore season.
In 69 games played for Hutchinson over the past two seasons, Duncan scored 699 career points and made 117 career 3-pointers, which is 12th on the Blue Dragon career 3-point list. Duncan added 113 career assists, 134 career rebounds and 88 career steals to her two seasons with the Blue Dragons.
Duncan poured in a career-high 28 points against the Cowley Tigers on February 7, 2026, where she had a career-high six 3-point goals in that contest. She had career single-game highs of seven rebounds against Barton (Dec. 3, 2025), five assists vs. Triton (November 1, 2025) and eight steals vs. Garden City (January 1, 2026).
KaMYRA BARBER – NORTH TEXAS
Barber, a 5-8 guard from Wichita, is the first Blue Dragon women’s player to sign at North Texas.
Barber was the 2026 Jayhawk Conference Freshman of the Year and earned first-team All-KJCCC honors after averaging 13.2 points and a team-high 6.8 rebounds per contest.
She was also named NJCAA All-American honorable mention.
Barber had an exceptional national tournament where she averaged 17.0 points and 10.3 rebounds per game in Hutchinson’s three tournament games. Against Williston State Barber scored 21 points and pulled down a career-high 17 rebounds in a 54-50 victory in the opening round. She was named to the NJCAA Tournament All-Tournament team.
Barber scored in double figures 26 times, including six games with 20 or more points. She tallied six double-doubles. Barber scored her career-best 23 points twice, doing so against Murray State on November 14, 2025 and Colby on January 3, 2026.
JADEN WILSON – ROCKHURST
Wilson is a 5-10 sophomore forward from Derby. She is the third player in Blue Dragon history to sign at Rockhurst, joining Megan Dennis (2004) and Kiarra Jones (2014).
This past season, Wilson started in 14 games and played in all 36, averaging 3.8 points and 4.8 rebounds while shooting 49.1 percent from the floor.
For her Blue Dragon career, Wilson played in 67 games and scored 224 points while shooting 50.3 percent overall.
Wilson posted her lone career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds against Fort Hays Tech Northwest on March 4, 2026. Her career-high scoring game was 14 points against Garden City on January 21, 2026.
