Alyvia Batchman has been a key piece of Ellinwood’s rise to one of the premier programs in Class 2A, culminating with a perfect 47-0 record and a state championship last fall.

The 5-foot-6 senior setter/outside hitter earned First Team Central Prairie League, KVA First Team All-State and State All-Tournament Team honors after totaling 177 kills, 547 assists, 206 digs and 72 aces during her junior campaign.
Entering her final season, Batchman has compiled 1,277 career assists, 552 digs, 468 kills and 149 aces while helping the Eagles progress from a fourth-place state finish as a sophomore to an undefeated state title as a junior.
“I am very excited to see what this team can do this season,” Batchman said. “We have already accomplished the ultimate goal and have our sights set on doing it again.”
Batchman has also been a standout on the basketball court, earning First Team Central Prairie League, Sports in Kansas Second Team All-State and multiple all-state honorable mention honors throughout her career while helping Ellinwood finish as the 2A state runner-up last season.
With championship experience, versatility and leadership, she will once again play a major role as the Eagles look to defend their Class 2A volleyball title.
