Despite a workhorse-like effort from sophomore Adahir Guerrero, Trinity Catholic’s offense couldn’t match Salina Sacred Heart’s pace on Friday at Kansas Wesleyan, as the Knights scored one touchdown in every quarter en route to a 26-0 win.
Guerrero ran the ball 27 times for 94 yards, and freshman Reid Harris had his best game so far this season, gaining 24 yards on six carries.
The Celtics moved into Sacred Heart territory several times, but the Celtics hurt themselves with seven fumbles, four of which the Knights recovered.
Sacred Heart quarterback Maddox Wells ran for 133 yards and one touchdown while passing for 116 yards and another score.
Trinity fell to 1-5 and returns home next week to take on Hillsboro in district play. Sacred Heart improved to 4-2
