WINFIELD, Kan. – After a full week off since winning two matches in Augusta, the McPherson Bullpup volleyball team hit the road and picked up another sweep on Tuesday, beating Winfield and El Dorado.

The night opened with a comfortable win over Winfield in straight sets 25-12 and 25-13.  That effort carried over in a two set win over El Dorado as the Bullpups won 25-18 and 25-14 against the Wildcats.

“On the evening, it was a great team effort and we finally as a team hit over .300!,” said head coach Christy Doile.  Rylie Whitfield led the attack efficiency at .786 with 11 kills and no errors.  Karlie Cooper, Piper Solofra, Kennedy Bonham and Harper Rierson also had season high efficiency numbers.

Rierson led the Bullpups with 13 kills combined over the two matches.  Carmin Pavlovich added 10.  Whitfield finished the night with 32 assists as well, while Rierson had a team high five aces.  Carmin Pavlovich was joined by her younger sister Elles Pavlovich to lead the team in digs with 13 each.

McPherson improved to 6-3 overall this season with the two victories.  Next up for the varsity is a home triangular with Rose Hill and Circle on Tuesday, September 15 at the Roundhouse.
