DERBY, Kan. – McPherson High School Boys Golf traveled to the Derby Golf & Country Club on Monday, April 27, placing 4th as a team. Paxton Ingels finished 3rd individually to lead McPherson.
The Bullpups had two golfers medal, led by Ingels’ +5 total, which finished 3rd. Drake Timson placed 7th, hitting +9, medaling him as well.
Zane Sporleder placed 24th with a +16 mark, Hunter Vogelsberg finished 30th at +17, Jaxon Hoover hit +18 to finish 40th, and Teigan Younger shot +22 to finish 47th.
The invite featured 12 teams and 70 total golfers. Valley Center and Garden City tied for the top spot at 323, but Valley Center won the tiebreaker. Garden City’s Brayden Walter won the event, shooting just one-over-par.
McPherson’s next tournament will be on Friday, May 1, for the Rusty Hilst Hutchinson Invitational at Carey Park Golf Course.
