WICHITA, Kan. – McPherson High School’s Boys Golf team finished 3rd in the AVCTL-3 meet on Tuesday, May 12, with Cole Cooper and Hudson Krehbiel wrapping up the meet earning all-league honors.
Cooper finished as the league’s runner-up individually, finishing just one stroke shy of winning with a score of 76. Cooper still earned first-team all-league honors by finishing in 2nd. Hudson Krehbiel finished 9th with a score of 82, earning second-team all-league honors.
Additionally, Zane Sporleder shot 84 to finish 14th, and Paxton Ingels placed 15th with a score of 85. Hunter Vogelsberg finished 24th with a score of 90, and Drake Timson rounded out the McPherson lineup, shooting 97 to place 29th.
McPherson had a combined score of 327 to finish third. Circle won the league title with a score of 318. Buhler shot 321 to finish as runners-up.
The Bullpups will now prepare for Sub-State, which will be Tuesday, May 19, at Cherry Oaks Golf Course in Cheney.
