Hillsboro, Kansas – McPherson College continued its undefeated start to the 2026 season on Saturday night, defeating Tabor College 21-13 at Joel H. Wiens Stadium to improve to 3-0 on the season.

How it Happened
The Bulldogs got on the board first in the opening quarter when Jalil Brown punched in a three-yard touchdown run, capping a 12-play, 68-yard drive. Brown added another touchdown before halftime, breaking loose for a 74-yard score to give McPherson a 14-0 lead at the break.
After a promising-looking drive from the Bulldogs, Tabor cut into the deficit in the third quarter with a 97-yard interception return to make it a one-score game heading into the fourth.
After the Bluejays added a field goal to make it 14-10, Brown found the end zone for the third time on the night, breaking off a 34-yard touchdown run with 7:54 remaining to push the Bulldogs’ lead back to 11.
Tabor added another field goal late, but the Bulldogs’ defense held strong to secure the 21-13 victory.
Brown finished the night with a career-high 296 rushing yards on 31 carries, averaging 9.5 yards per carry and accounting for all three of McPherson’s touchdowns. The Bulldogs finished with 427 total yards, including 336 on the ground.
Defensively, McPherson held Tabor to just 177 total yards and recorded seven sacks. Tyler Powell led the Bulldogs with two sacks, while Nate Campbell and Joshua Ferguson each added a sack.
