McPherson, Kan. – The Bulldogs hosted the York University Panthers on Wednesday night for their second consecutive home match. McPherson headed into the matchup looking for a win after three straight losses, while the Panthers aimed to secure their third straight win.

How it Happened
Emily Singletary was tested early as the Panthers fired three early shots, forcing her to make two saves. The Bulldogs soon answered with chances of the own, putting pressure on the Panthers’ goalkeeper but unable to break through. Both sides traded looks the rest of the half, heading into the break still scoreless.

The Panthers came out strong again to start the second half, firing off an early shot. McPherson responded with a flurry of attacks, sending three shots on net. The Bulldogs maintained the pressure, outshooting York 7-4, but still looked for the breakthrough. In the 82nd minute, Arianna Diaz finally broke the deadlock, burying a loose ball in front of the net for her second goal of the season.

The Bulldogs held on for the 1-0 win as the Panthers were unable to find an equalizer in the late stages.
