Senior quarterback Brodie Crites threw for one touchdown and ran for another touchdown in the first half, while junior running back Keeton Robison rushed for two touchdowns in the second half, as the two Oilers led Central Plains to a 28-18 victory over the Victoria Knights 28-18 on Friday.
Victoria’s junior quarterback Nick Sander accounted for two of the three Knight touchdowns by rushing for one and connecting with senior running back Weston Scherrer on a 10-yard pass hookup for the other.
Central Plains took a 14-12 lead into the locker room right as the clock expired at halftime on a 14-yard Crites touchdown scramble. Then the Oilers pulled away from the Knights in the fourth quarter with their ground attack for the victory.
