The Reno County Homeschool Sabres, who went 9-0 in 2025, lost to Axtell 74-44 Friday night at Axtell.
Axtell led 6-0 after one quarter, 34-8 at halftime and 58-36 after three quarters.The Eagles outscored the Sabres 16-8 in the fourth quarter.
The Sabres, who play all of their games on the road because they don’t have a home field, will play South Central next Friday in Coldwater.
Axtell, winners of the Eight-Man II state titles in 1993, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024, will play next Friday night at Clifton-Clyde.
