MOUNDRIDGE, Kan. — Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce this week’s Athlete of the Week as Moundridge High School senior Kaden Elmore.
The week – Elmore swept the 100, 200 and 400 meters at the Class 2A regional in Marion. Elmore was the only runner to go under 11 seconds in the 100, winning in a time of 10.97 seconds. He held off a strong field in the 200, winning in a time of 22.6. He just barely missed going under 50 seconds in winning the 400, finishing in a time of 50.0.
The season – Elmore will be among the favorites at the state meet this weekend in Wichita. The senior is seeded fifth in the 400, second in the 100 and first in the 200. He owns the school record in the 100, 200 and is part of the record-setting 400-meter relay team.
