Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce Little River High School senior Havana Olander as this week’s Athlete of the Week, presented by Hutchinson Community College.
The week – Olander competed at the K-State Relays in Manhattan and didn’t disappoint. Olander won the triple jump in dominating fashion, as her winning leap of 37 feet, 0.75 inches won by more than two feet. Nobody else cleared 35 feet.
The season – Olander, a senior, has competed in two track meets so far this season and has been victorious in the triple jump in both. Her other win came in Moundridge, where she cleared 37-0.5. Olander also placed third in the long jump.
